The Journey of a Champion
I am Bojan Velickovic, widely recognized as "Prometheus" in the MMA world. Born and raised in Novi Sad, Serbia, my passion for martial arts started early, shaping me into the athlete I am today.
As a BJJ black belt and an accomplished striker, I’ve honed my skills through rigorous training and global competition.
My fighting career spans elite competition, from being a former UFC Welterweight competitor to a current Oktagon MMA Welterweight contender.
As a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, I excel in grappling and submissions, and I’ve secured multiple championship titles, showcasing my skills at the highest level. My journey is driven by passion, discipline, and the relentless pursuit of greatness in MMA.
Beyond fighting, I mentor aspiring athletes, sharing my expertise to help shape the next generation of martial artists.
Story of my life
I began my martial arts journey in Novi Sad, Serbia, starting with Grappling at the age of 10, where I developed a strong foundation in skill, discipline, and technique. At 18, I transitioned to Muay Thai, achieving a competition record of 14–2.
These experiences paved the way for my move into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA at 21, allowing me to combine everything I had learned and fully embrace my passion for combat sports.
I began my professional MMA career in 2010, starting with a victory in the reality competition 'Road to the Ring of Fire.' This success led to a contract with ROF in the U.S., where I tested my skills and adapted to the challenges of cage fighting. My success led me to RFA, where I captured the Welterweight Championship
This opened the door to the UFC, where I competed against some of the best fighters in the world, before continuing my journey in the PFL
Today, I proudly fight in Oktagon MMA, representing Serbia on one of Europe’s biggest stages. In December 2023, I achieved a historic milestone by winning the first-ever Tipsport Gamechanger, solidifying my place among the elite.
Alongside my career as a professional fighter, I am also a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach, mentoring the next generation of martial artists.
